Recruiting art inspired by the statistics of Take A Number.

Purpose: To bring awareness & benefit 1) the realities of Sex Trafficking & Homeless Youth in the Midwest & 2) the Lack of opportunities for sex trafficking victims to get out (less than 500 beds nationally)

Traveling Art Installation: that will accompany seminars, awareness presentations and prayer vigils. To appear at galleries, community centers, colleges, & churches over the next year.

Sex Trafficking and Homeless Youth are a reality around the globe and in our own back yard of the Midwest as well. With less than 500 beds connected with recovery programs in the USA, opportunities to get our are incredibly limited. If a woman were to want to get out today and called for help she would be told to “Take A Number,” as she would be at the end of a waiting list that could be as long as 365 days.. one year.

We are recruiting art to be part of a traveling installation to raise awareness and benefit Sex Trafficking Victims in the Midwest. We hope to have a variety of visual and multimedia art work. The focus is to spotlight the domestic issue of Sex Trafficking, domestic prostitution, and the lack of opportunities for these women  to get out.

There will be 3 sections.

  1. Awareness: Art pieces directly connected with statistics and themes
  2. Survivor Pieces
  3. General Submissions that will travel with the show
